Diwali puja vidhi :
Step 1: Cleanse your house.
Cleaning for Diwali is crucial. You should thoroughly clean your home. To purify the area after cleansing, sprinkle Gangajal (holy water from the Ganges River).
Step 2: Create a platform for the puja
Spread a red cotton cloth on a table or stool in your puja room or living room, and place a few grains in the middle.
Step 3: Set a Kalash
Put the silver or bronze pot, or Kalash, in the center of the grains. One supari (betel nut), one marigold flower, a coin, and some rice grains are placed in the Kalash after filling it with 75% water. Five mango leaves should be arranged in a circle on the Kalash.
Step 4: Set up the Lakshmi and Ganesha idols for the ritual
Put the statue of Lord Ganesha on the right side of the Kalash, facing southwest, and the statue of Goddess Lakshmi in the center. Make a little flat mountain of rice using a small thali, design a lotus flower on it with haldi, add some money, and set it in front of the idol.
Step 5: Place the financial records and other connected objects
Place your accounting book and other items relating to wealth and business in front of the idol at this point.
Step 6: Apply tilak and ignite a Diya in Step 6 of the Diwali Puja Vidhi.
Apply tilak to Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi now, and light diyas. Put a tilak on Kalash as well.
Step 7: Present flowers
Now present Lord Ganesh and Lakshmi with flowers. Hold the flower in your hand and do the puja.
Step 8: Recite the Puja Mantra
Close your eyes, place a flower in your palm, join your hands in a prayer position, and recite the Diwali puja mantra. After the prayer, give the flower to Ganesha and Lakshmi that you are holding in your hand.
Step 9: Offer water
Take a Lakshmi idol and give it a panchamrita and water bath. Rewash it with water, clean it with a fresh cloth, and reattach it to the Kalash.
Step 10: Offer mala (garland)
Give the idol food, kumkum, and haldi. Wrap the Goddess’ neck with the garland. Shoop and burn agarbatti in front of the idol.
Step 11: Present fruits and treats
Bring a coconut, supari, and paan leaf to the goddess. Present the goddess with some fruit and treats. Place a bouquet and some coins in front of the idol.
Step 12: Perform Lakshmi Aarti
Ring the puja bell, perform the Lakshmi aarti, and bring a diya in a thali.
